The intention here is to provide a repository of photographs
covering the 20-year period from 1950 to 1970, the years that saw the greatest changes
take place in Formula One in particular and motor-racing in general.
Naturally we are constrained by server space and also the fact that this is a labour of love and not a career. Therefore the site will be almost permanently "under construction", so if you haven't visited for a while please ensure that you refresh your browser cache.
The bulk of the images have been sourced from period magazines, such as Motor Sport, Racing Car News, Grand Prix International, Car & Driver, Road & Track, Wheels, Modern Motor, Sports Car World, etc. Some photographs come from private sources and specialist publications and, where possible, full acknowledgement is given.
Feedback, comments and enquiries should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org
